Dear Parents and Carers,

What an action packed Term 3 of dancing, a wonderful reminder of the powerful impact Dancesport has on our kids. July- September saw the culmination of nearly 7,000 students bring their ‘Best Selves’ to perform in 12 events across NSW and Victoria.

A huge congratulations to all our students who performed recently in both NSW and Victoria.

Many of our students are now preparing for the DSC State Championship to be held on 19th November at Olympic Park, where they will be performing new dances and new moves commencing in Term 4.

Many of our students are now preparing for the DSC State Championship to be held on 19th November at Olympic Park, where they will be performing new dances and new moves commencing in Term 4.  For parents convenience, this event will be conducted over 3 sessions ,with the first commencing from 10.30am. Please see the below links for more information.

Dancesport is enjoying significant exposure globally with the World DanceSport Federation ( WDSF ) delivering Breaking at the Summer Olympics in Paris, 2024. This opportunity is just the beginning, once this Olympic inclusion is successful, the WDSF plans on submission of Ballroom and Latin dances for the ensuing games in Los Angeles in 2028 and Brisbane in 2032. Think about it…. if the appointment of Dancesport continues, the kids learning today in the DSC program will be perfectly poised to compete in the Brisbane Olympic Games 2032.

Best wishes,

Gordon Gilkes.
